[NEW ALBANY, OH, September 24, 2025] – Legendary actors and philanthropists Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick will be the featured speakers for the 2025 Remarkable Evening benefit on December 3rd in New Albany, Ohio. 2025 marks the Foundation’s 30th anniversary and the 23rd Remarkable Evening benefit, which has raised more than $30 million since inception that has been invested back into the community in the form of grants to area not-for-profits organizations, community projects and programming.

Decorated actors and directors of film and television with careers spanning decades, Kyra and Kevin also are respected for their philanthropic focus through the sixdegrees.org platform and the Food Bank of New York. Sharing their life together, their love of music and the movies, and as community advocates with a combined five million followers on social media, Kyra currently stars in Bad Shabbos in select theaters across the country and Kevin is currently touring the country with his band The Bacon Brothers, among other projects. They will soon both be starring in the Michael J. Weithorn-directed film “The Best You Can” and are also set to direct and star in the horror-comedy project “Family Movie” alongside their children, Travis Bacon and Sosie Bacon.
The Hollywood power couple will be interviewed by Ari Shapiro, three-time Edward R. Murrow awarded journalist.
Over the years the Foundation has featured many renowned speakers at Remarkable Evening including Presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton, Prime Minister Tony Blair, General Colin Powell and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, in addition to esteemed historians David McCullough, Doris Kearns Goodwin and Jon Meacham, among others. Football legend Peyton Manning was interviewed by basketball great Clark Kellogg in 2024.

Kevin Bacon is one of the foremost actors whose talent for balancing starring roles with powerful supporting characters in film, television and on stage has allowed him to build a varied and critically acclaimed body of work.
Kevin’s film credits include “Footloose,” “Tremors,” “A Few Good Men,” “The River Wild,” “Mystic River,” “Apollo 13,” “The Woodsman,” “Crazy Stupid Love,” “Black Mass,” “Patriots Day,” “Space Oddity” and most recently “Leave the World Behind,” “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” and “MaXXXine.”
On the small screen, Kevin starred in the HBO film “Taking Chance,” for which he won Golden Globe and SAG Awards. For three seasons he starred in the hit Fox series “The Following.” He starred in Jill Soloway’s Amazon series “I Love Dick” for which he earned a Golden Globe Award nomination. He also starred in the hit Showtime series, “City on a Hill” alongside Aldis Hodge for three seasons. In addition to starring in the series, Kevin served as an executive producer and he directed the first episode of the second season. Most recently, Kevin Bacon starred in an executive produced the Blumhouse action horror series “The Bondsman,” and was seen in the limited Netflix series “Sirens” with Julianne Moore.
In addition to acting, Kevin is one half of The Bacon Brothers band. The band has released twelve albums to date.
Kevin founded SixDegrees.org, an organization that encourages people to connect and become a celebrity for their cause by raising money for local and grassroots charities in the United States.

Upcoming, Bacon will star in the Michael J. Weithorn-directed film “The Best You Can” alongside his wife, Kyra Sedgwick. This marks the first time the couple has starred in a film together in twenty years. Bacon and Sedgwick are also set to co-direct and star in the horror-comedy project “Family Movie” and star alongside their children, Travis Bacon and Sosie Bacon.

Currently, Sedgwick and Cliff “Method Man” Smith lead an incredible ensemble cast in the uproarious new comedy now streaming BAD SHABBOS, winner of the Audience Award for Best Narrative at the Tribeca Film Festival. Sedgwick recently starred alongside Kevin Bacon and Judd Hirsch in the feature film THE BEST YOU CAN written and directed by Michael J. Weithorn. Sedgwick’s previous film roles include BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY, SINGLES, PHENOMENON, SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT, THE POSSESSION, and THE EDGE OF SEVENTEEN. On television, Sedgwick most recently starred in Kari Lizer’s ABC comedy series CALL YOUR MOTHER and the second season of the beloved Amazon series THE SUMMER I TURNED PRETTY opposite Elsie Fisher. Previously, she had a recurring role as “Madeline Wuntch” on BROOKLYN NINE-NINE.
Sedgwick’s previous directing credits include the feature films SPACE ODDITY starring Kyle Allen and Alexandra Shipp, STORY OF A GIRL, which earned her a DGA Award nomination, and GIRLS WEEKEND, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Sedgwick has contributed her directing talents to notable series such as RAY DONOVAN, CITY ON A HILL, GRACE AND FRANKIE, and others.
As a producer, Sedgwick’s production company, Big Swing, along with Amblin Entertainment, is producing the highly-anticipated limited series THE CHALLENGER, starring Kristen Stewart, for Amazon Studios.
