Donald Cameron | 2008
Don Cameron was a Plain Township Trustee and an extraordinary community leader. Among projects that he championed are the 1,000-acre Rocky Fork Metro Park, the Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts and endowed scholarships at the New Albany Community Foundation. Under Cameron’s leadership, the township became a partner and collaborator, working with the City of New Albany and others to advance key community initiatives. He is credited with helping transition the Plain Township Fire Department from volunteer service to full-time, professional department. The “Clan Cameron Fund” supports scholarships to New Albany High School graduates and McCoy Center programming.
