Bill Resch | 2007

Bill Resch is a respected conservationist and passionate environmentalist who is best known in the community as the “Nature Guy.” Resch is the architect of the nationally recognized New Albany High School environmental science program, which serves students from New Albany and 16 other area high schools.  Former New Albany School Superintendent, Dr. Ralph Johnson, recruited Resch tohelp development the school’s 80-acre nature preserve and wetlands. He was instrumental in securing a grant to restore Rose Run Creek and a grant to protect land around the historic Ealy House that has been preserved by the New Albany-Plain Township Historical Society, resulting in the surrounding land being named the William H. Resch Park.
