The Ryan Family | 2010

Ellen, David, Sarah and Mark: The Ryan Family has impacted  so many lives in New Albany through their philanthropy, volunteerism and community leadership. Dave Ryan chaired the New Albany Community Foundation Board of Trustees during creation of the Jeanne B. McCoy Community Centers for the Arts. He also chaired the James Cancer Hospital Foundation board. Dave and Ellen’s son, Mark, was president of the New Albany Board of Education. Mark’s wife, Sarah, served as President of the New Albany Women’s Network, chaired its Evening in New Albany benefit and served on the Women’s Board of Franklin Park Conservatory. Both couples established family funds at the Foundation.  Their support was instrumental to the success of the McCoy Center, the Hinson Amphitheater, restoration of the Phelps House and the Church of the Resurrection, to name a few.
