Jeanne & John G. McCoy | 2004
After moving to New Albany in 1991 Jeanne B. and John G. McCoy were honored as the namesakes of the award created by the Foundation to honor their lifelong commitment to community service and philanthropy. John was a banker who always recognized his employees for any business success. He built City National Bank into Banc One Corporation, for which he served as President, CEO and executive committee chairman. Jeanne created a presidential scholars fund at the Ohio State University to provide scholarships for two women and two men annually, for up to four years for each student. Together they supported numerous educational, health and cultural causes throughout central Ohio.
