Les Wexner has had an extraordinary impact in New Albany and central Ohio, both by creating jobs that provided livelihoods for thousands of people and through his philanthropy.  He is the visionary behind New Albany’s emergence a model community.   That vision transformed the community and its public schools.  Moreover, it helped create a culture of giving and caring, as well as a commitment to lifelong learning, healthy living, arts and culture and a sustainable environment.  The greater central Ohio community has benefitted from his support and leadership at The Ohio State University and its Wexner Medical Center, the Wexner Center for the Arts and the Columbus Partnership, a civic organization he co-founded that is credited with many celebrated local initiatives.
