Tiney McComb | 2011
Heartland Bank founder and chairman Tiney McComb was a community leader and philanthropist who established one of the first endowment funds at the New Albany Community Foundation and served as one of its earliest board members. His fund, named in honor of his late wife, Helena, has supported youth vocal performance and educational programs at the McCoy Center. The fund sponsored junior Broadway musicals presented by the New Albany Arts Council, which provided hundreds of young people the opportunity to perform in front of live audiences. It also supported the Columbus Children’s Choir and its satellite New Albany choir.
