Janet Atwater | 2005

Janet Atwater was one of thefounder of New Albany Women’s Network, which was established in 1998 as an organization that provided women new to the community an opportunity to connect and become involved. Since its inception, NAWN has grown in membership and in its impact as a charitable organization. Engaging hundreds of women with events such as Evening in New Albany and other fundraisers, it has helped build a stronger community while supporting scholarships, an author residency program in the schools and organizations focused on women’s and children’s issues.
