THE CHARLEEN & CHARLES HINSON AMPHITHEATER
As the number of music, theater, ballet and other performance arts groups grew in New Albany, so did the need for a community amphitheater. The Foundation lead the effort to make the amphitheater a reality. The project moved closer to that day when the Hinson family generously donated $600,000 toward the project. In recognition, the venue is called the Charleen & Charles Hinson Amphitheater. It now hosts resident arts groups, such as the New Albany Symphony Orchestra, Community Choir, Community Band, community and youth theater groups, dance and ballet groups, as well as many student/school groups. Additionally, it is anticipated that the amphitheater will feature central Ohio organizations such as the Columbus Jazz Orchestra, Columbus Symphony, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, Ballet Met, CATCO and more.
In addition to hundreds of Foundation donors who have made gifts to date, we acknowledge those who have pledged their support to the amphitheater. And we invite you to join them.
