JEANS for GREEN NEW ALBANY

Let’s give old denim new life!

Join the New Albany Community in becoming more sustainable by giving your jeans a second life!

How to help?

Go through your denim to find what you no longer use even if it is worn out.

What?

Denim – any color, any style, any size is acceptable. Jeans, shirts, skirts, shorts, jackets, and hats are all acceptable. Ripped, stained, or worn out are all accepted. Please wash all items before donating. Don’t forget to check pockets before donating!

When?

Drop items individually (no bags) in bins at the locations below between September 22nd – October 10th. If you have a student in NAPLS, they may earn a reward for taking it into their school building for a friendly competition.

Why?

Denim that is reuseable will be distributed to families in need through the New Albany Food Pantry. Unwearable denim will be reclaimed for home insulation. Feel good that you are helping make New Albany more sustainable by reducing textile waste in landfills!
