New & Noteworthy

Since 2002, The New Albany Community Foundation has presented renowned lecturers to the community and to area students. From Pulitzer Prize-winning authors and historians, to a former Secretary of State, a former Prime minister and two United States Presidents, the Foundation remains committed to supporting lifelong learning opportunities in New Albany for adults and students alike.

The New Albany Community Foundation welcomes grant applications from non-profit organizations serving the New Albany-Plain Local School District community including the city of New Albany. Plain Township and the portion of the City of Columbus located within New Albany School District. Our grant review process is intended to encourage ideas and proposals from a wide variety of fields. The board of trustees approves the grants.

The scope of the Foundation’s charitable grantmaking includes both capital and program grants. Typically, grants are awarded under the following categories: Education/Lifelong Learning, Health & Wellness, The Arts, Environment, and Community Building.
